MBO - Mechanical Building Optimization

MBO Inc. was launched in 2001 to meet the growing demand for continual commissioning, retro commissioning, field troubleshooting, air and water testing and balancing, controls reprogramming, and field maintenance operator training.  Developers, Architects, and Facility Managers utilize MBO’s Professional Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, LEED AP Project Managers, NEBB Certified Technicians, and Building Commissioning Agents to deliver optimum workspace comfort and to minimize utility expenditures.

MBO Inc. commissions projects for functional and operational performance and HVAC optimization from conceptual design to the construction documents, to the measurement, and verification and trend logs.

MBO Inc. develops and identifies all strategies and measures that will optimize the operation and functionality of a building’s systems and equipment including how these systems function together.  MBO Inc. provides building operators with continuous training and assistance to maintain the optimized operation of the building systems.

The systematic and rigorous investigation, evaluation, and analysis of all existing major energy consuming Divisions 15-17 systems and equipment associated with the building typically include but are not limited to the following:  HVAC and chilled water systems, domestic hot water systems, hydronic systems, lighting controls, building or energy management systems, and low voltage systems.

MBO’s commitment is to Retro Commission the HVAC to its original ideal system intent and to optimize energy conservation.
